Sarah Staab is the owner and Director of Operations at DTIS. Based upon her broad domestic and international experience as a systems engineer and technical project manager in the Air Traffic Systems (ATS) industry, Ms. Staab has developed a core strength in identifying customer needs and translating them into system capabilities and program requirements. She has comprehensive experience leading Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) NextGen projects through the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS). Ms. Staab’s focus is on offering strategic direction and management of scope, definition of mission needs, concept development, identification of cost vs. benefit, and both systems and process management. Her push to challenge and exceed the status quo makes her company’s personnel and solutions sought after, and her drive to always put the people first has made DTIS customer solutions not only extremely effective but also user friendly.
Ms. Staab has performed several leadership roles in the industry, including support of major FAA programs such as: Terminal Flight Data Manager (TFDM); Airport Surface Detection Model – X (ASDE-X); Runway Status Lights (RWSL); and Airport Surface Surveillance Capability (ASSC). Internationally, Ms. Staab was a Senior Program Manager for ERA Corporation, managing the European region of business for Multilateration, Wide-Area Multilateration, and ADS-B surveillance systems, including their integration into early Collaborative Decision Making (CDM) systems. Ms. Staab attended McGill University where she received a Bachelor’s in Computer Science with a Minor in Economics. She also attended George Washington University where she received a Master of Science in Engineering Management and a Graduate Certificate in Systems Engineering. Ms. Staab is a certified Program Management Professional (PMP) and Six Sigma Green Belt.
